Israel's DFM on the Peace Process

Here's the second of Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon's Youtube videos on the Middle East peace process (I posted the third of Ayalon's three videos here, which was released by Israel at a press conference held at the UN). For those who have little knowledge of the history surrounding the conflict it's quite enlightening, miles away from the false narrative now accepted uncritically by so many.

I would rather beleive each side has some valid points, and some not-so-valid points, but this, like the Palestinian narrative, is really political rhetoric and the type of political propaganda all states engage in.

What I see with my eyes is the State of Israel using Palestinian violence as a means of gaining ground for the Israeli state and increase settlements in the West Bank. I think Palestinians have worked this out too.

Does the State of Israel (and Christian Zionists) really want peace, or do they want to extend the borders of the State of Israel across the whole of the historical Holy Land?

The term Christian Zionist is an oxymoron. One can either be a Christian or a Zionist and never the twain shall meet. The Zionists are the modern day Pharisees. So, no true Christian will ever kowtow to them as the so-called Christian Zionists do who are in reality Israel's useful idiots.

well, considering Israel have reduced their borders including Gaza and Sinai Pininsula, that should answer your question. As for Christian Zionists, without Christ there is no peace. I pray both Jew and Arab would turn to the Messiah. However, in the meantime, I do not understand how in some areas Arabs are fully integrated into Israeli society but in others they are a hostile force

Hello Calvin - Christmas greetings - at the risk of being accused of going 'off topic' I thought it would be interesting to see whether the Palestinians are historically related to the biblical Samaritans. This potentially puts a different perspective on the conflict because Samaritans were always seen biblically as half-Israelites, and historically linked to the land - Jesus treated them as equal with Jews by preaching to them - But some CZs suggest Palestinians are Arab imports or related to the Canaanites and for that reason can be excluded from the land for failure to reach covenantal agreement with Israel. Wiki points to a study by Yitkhak Ben-Zvi
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samaritan
"In 1940, the future Israeli president and historian Yitzhak Ben-Zvi wrote an article in which he stated that two thirds of the residents of Nablus and the surrounding neighboring villages are of Samaritan origin.[29] He mentioned the name of several Palestinian Muslim families as having Samaritan origins, including the Buwarda and Kasem families who protected Samaritans from Muslim persecution in the 1850s.[29] He further claimed that these families had written records testifying to their Samaritan ancestry, which were maintained by their priests and elders.[29]"Ben Zvi, Yitzhak (October 8, 1985). Oral telling of Samaritan traditions: Volume 780-785. A.B. Samaritan News. p. 8.
The best way forward in my view is a joint state between both sides sides that recognises a common Abrahamic heritage with justice and freedom to Jews, Christians and Muslim.
Blessings at Christmas
