Eusebius records that the Christians fled Jerusalem to Pella because of the prophecy and were saved, while those who remained perished.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Later the Christians, mainly of Jewish descent, returned. Interestingly the first 15 bishops of Jerusalem were Hebrews. The third Bishop of Jerusalem was Justus a Jewish circumcised convert at a time when many Jews were converting to Christ.
